My Journey to Restore a Compaq Presario 5070 – Part I
One day, while browsing Facebook Marketplace, I stumbled upon something I couldn’t resist—a Compaq Presario 5070 for only $80! The seller, a lady whose husband had recently passed away, mentioned that he had owned a medical office, and this computer was just sitting around. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
When I got the computer home, I was excited but had a few other projects I was eager to finish. I was sure the Compaq Presario 5070 would fire right up without much hassle.
However, when I finally started working on it a few days later, that’s when reality hit me—this was going to be much more of a challenge than I expected.
I went to open the case to put the hard drive in… and BOOM! It hit me like a truck. This case was by far the most aggravating case I have ever worked with. If you guys could see the chaos I dealt with, you’d understand exactly what I mean. But I’m not going to spoil all the details here—I’ll leave it to the video so you can experience it for yourself.
